Amanda has been working professionally full-time with dogs since 2005. She started out working as a dog trainer at a facility in Wisconsin, before moving to Rochester, and forming Sharper Edge Pet Care in 2009.
She loves the herding breeds and has always had a big emphasis on K9 competitive sports. Amanda and her dogs have competed in disc, agility, dock diving, rally, and obedience, including 14 World Championship qualifications over the years.
She also has experience working in a vet clinic, grooming salon, and at a different doggie daycare facility in WI. She has ran a couple K9 based non profit organizations, holds several certifications, and is K9 CPR and first aid experienced. Amanda has worked part-time at BCK since 2012.
Amanda currently shares her life with four Australian Cattle Dog mixes, Lyric, Journey, Echo, and Aura. She is passionate about animal rescue, nutrition, enrichment, and loves nothing more than traveling with her dogs!
Ashlynn was born and raised in Rochester, MN. She is a huge animal lover, and grew up with several different kinds of animals, but the dogs in her life have always held an extra special place in her heart.
Ashlynn and Donnie, her fiancé, actually connected because of their love of dogs, they are currently the pet parents of 2 adorable fur babies, Bentley (min pin / bully mix), & Hazel (blue nose pit bull). Hazel is the newest addition to their family after the heartbreaking loss of their 13 year old pitbull Ava in 2022.
Ashlynn has been with Bear Creek Kennels Since 2023, and went through training with the Dog Handler Academy. Ashlynn also has a lot of personal experience with dogs, she has proudly been taking care of dogs virtually her whole life, and understands that each dog is unique, and that each dog has their own individual needs.
Ashlynn's favorite part about working with dogs is... getting to work with dogs! To say that she loves her job is an understatement. She enjoys getting to know all of their different personalities, and is honored to care for them and support them when their parents are away. She loves and cares for her "work dogs" just as much as she loves and cares for her own dogs.
